THE CHUAN × JACKY TSAI Floral Horse Limited Edition

Following their previous collaboration for the Year of the Snake, The Chuan once again partners with contemporary artist Jacky Tsai to present a limited-edition release for the Year of the Horse.

At the centre of the project is Tsai’s iconic Floral Horse — a recurring symbol in his visual language that embodies movement, transformation and cultural translation.

Inspired by the natural landscape of Emei Mountain, where The Chuan whisky is matured, the artwork draws a parallel between the journey of the horse and the passage of time within the oak cask.
Both are shaped by environment, memory and duration.

Gold linear elements echo traditional Eastern ornament, while the vibrant collage aesthetic brings the motif into a contemporary global context — a signature approach in Tsai’s cross-cultural practice.

More than a festive release, the collaboration transforms the whisky into a collectible art object, where packaging, narrative and liquid form a unified work.

This project marks the continuation of an evolving dialogue between contemporary art and Chinese craftsmanship, translating heritage into a new visual language.
