Jacky Tsai × Ping An Finance Centre — Floral Dragon

Shenzhen, China

For the Year of the Dragon in 2024, Jacky Tsai collaborated with Ping An Finance Centre in Shenzhen to bring his Floral Dragon into the building’s public spaces. Composed of blue-and-white floral forms with vivid bursts of colour, the dragon draws on Chinese porcelain and auspicious imagery, reimagining a traditional symbol through a contemporary visual language.

The original Floral Dragon animation, shown above, unfolds through a fluid sequence of transformations. At Ping An Finance Centre, the imagery extended across the interior ceiling and vertical digital screens, with a complementary festive installation bringing the floral forms into the physical space. Together, these elements created a setting for visitors to encounter the work as part of everyday life.
