Unveiled at Bicester Village, the project marks the first time Tsai’s evolving Floral Horse has been translated into a functional sound sculpture in a domestic spatial setting.

Set against a deep red circular field, the composition brings together hand-collaged botanical elements, fragments of blue-and-white porcelain, and symbolic motifs that trace the artist’s long-standing dialogue between Eastern heritage and contemporary visual culture.
The work transforms the speaker into a spatial painting — an object that exists simultaneously as artwork, design piece and acoustic instrument.

Produced as a globally limited edition of ten, the collaboration reflects Tsai’s ongoing interest in allowing his visual language to move across mediums — from large-scale public works to collectible design and immersive environments — while maintaining a strong narrative identity.

The launch event at Bicester Village introduced the edition through a public presentation and artist appearance, situating the work within a cross-cultural context that connects luxury retail, contemporary art and sound.

“Translating the Floral Horse onto the Beosound A9 allowed the work to enter everyday life — not as an image on a wall, but as a living object that carries sound, space and time.”
