Tsai’s first ready to wear collection features six silk dresses that are elegantly slim fitting with effortlessly minimalist column, A-line and asymmetric silhouettes that echo the subtle sensuality of traditional female Chinese dress reimagined in the contemporary West.
Either full or knee-length, softly belted, loose or side-tied, long-sleeved or sleeveless with high or gentle V-necks the dresses all feature exclusive Jacky Tsai prints that range from haunting dreamlike watercolour pastels to the bold contrasting purple, white and orange of Tsai’s striking Flying Tiger 1943 vector print.
The label features a range of 12 luxury, limited edition silk tees for both men and women featuring Jacky Tsai signature prints including the iconic Jacky Tsai Flower Skull and Blue Skull motifs where the classic T-shirt is reborn as a piece of living, wearable art.
The heady chemistry between Irwin & Jordan’s fashion design and Jacky Tsai’s artwork made for a natural yet exciting collaboration. Similar tastes in art and very feminine design approaches to masculine ideas created a dynamic that inspired and motivated both partners in the work.
The resulting pieces are part of Irwin & Jordan’s Spring/Summer collection and offer the wearer the opportunity to sink into colourful dreams of animal instinct adventure. Bright floaty dresses and Tops are contrasted by moody ink and silk mood scarves. Prowling proud or lying in wait, these will also become an icon also.
